Session 6
Gain insight, strengthen your skills and control your study behaviour. This training consists of 6 sessions.
For you?
Do you have ADD or ADHD? Does that cause problems with planning, organizing, concentrating, procrastinating, or otherwise? The student psychologists and student counsellors supervise this training. You will reinforce your skills by focusing on what you currently face in your studies. The aim is to gain insight, get a grip on your study behaviour, and share experiences with fellow students with ADD or ADHD.
Important to know
- This training course is intended for students with a diagnosis of ADD or ADHD (for questions concerning the diagnosis, please send an email to training-sts@uva.nl);
- Please buy the book Understand Your Brain, Get More Done by Ari Tuckman before the start of the training. You will need it every session;
- Daily, you will need about 30 minutes for exercises and recording. Discussing your experiences during the week in the meetings is an integral part of the training;
- Following this training takes time and energy. Therefore, we advise you not to follow different training sessions at the same time;
- We count on you to attend all meetings. This is important for your own process and the group process. If you cannot attend all the meetings, see if another training series or group might be a better fit.
This workshop is also available in Dutch as 'Studeren met ADD of ADHD'.
