UvA Study Abroad Month 2025: Learn how to plan ahead and create a responsible budget for your exchange or internship abroad.

How do you budget early, choose the right destination and use DIGIPASS to make the most of your exchange?

A proper budget helps take into account eventualities you might encounter abroad. In this session, you’ll see how to build a responsible budget for an exchange or internship. You’ll do basic budgeting exercises, factor in differences between destinations, estimate costs and spot hidden expenses, and use this to plan a destination that fits your means—making the most of your exchange with DIGIPASS. We’ll also briefly touch on extra scholarships and grants so you can focus on your experience. By the end of this workshop, you will have a clear picture of how to plan your finances so you will be able to focus on making the most of your exchange/internship.
